Augmented Face

With AR filters, Camera Effects and Lenses,
It’s possible to create stunning experiences that are fun, immersive, interactive and highly engaging!

Facebook has created a platform and tools for developers and designers to create instagram-style camera effects. It’s called Spark AR. For my first exploration I wanted to create sharable make-up filters.

In my exploration video you can see some of the filter I made and the people that used them.

Modern Carrier Pigeon

With the coming of modern technological advances like emails and texting, carrier pigeons have long been out of work.

Play as a pigeon starting their new job as a transcriber and use your beak to type out messages left on your desk. Be quick, though – you’re paid by the number of messages you send per minute!

Hackastory coach

With Hackastory we bring people in the media industry together to come up with new ideas, formats and products to improve digital journalism.

The Hackastory hackathons are multi-disciplinary collaborations on journalism innovation. It’s a pressure cooker where you develop new concepts at rocket speed and at the same time you will develop new skills, mindset and methodology to execute innovative ideas.

With Hackastory it’s my job as a Hackastory coach to teach my team new ways of brainstorming, concepting and prototyping.

VR the Champions

Get in the groove and pump up the jams with this workout dancing simulator based on the classic aerobics championship video.

In this virtual reality game you have to move your hips and follow your dance partner to score maximum points. Are you going to be the next aerobics champion?

I Am Not Home Video

This Project was done in collaboration with artist Bert Hana and was commissioned by IDFA / VR BASE. Bert has a fascination for old footage and was looking for a way to visualise audio tapes and hi8 images he collected in VR. Together with several partners I was part of interactive VR installation that is a visual reconstruction of the world Bert knew from his past.

Enter a virtual flashback to the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Like an archeologist, Hana points out the arrival of the brand-new Euro banknotes, the prosecution of Slobodan Miloševic and the collapse of the Twin Towers. The filmed house then unfolds around you in three dimensions, in the typical VHS colors. Go ahead and look or even walk around.

Bigsby

Bigsby is a new cleaning robot joining your staff. He’s not that good at it yet though.

Every time he encounters something new his system bugs out. Can you help reprogram him so he can clean your clients house?

How to play:

  • Wait for Ziggy to find something he’s never seen before and get a bug (indicated with his red warning lights) and tap him with the mouse.
  • Choose a function for Ziggy to do with this object.
  • Observe and wait for the next item.

Over

Over is a clothing brand fueled by personal demand since it’s start in 2012. The pieces they create convey the core three values which we continue to offer today — authentic, wearable and affordable clothing.

The team behind Over wanted the same core values displayed on their site. After multiple iterations we chose for a image image bases website.

The main reason we ended up using a image heavy website is to put the authenticity and wearability first and the technology and text second. This way the visitor isn’t distracted by the “fluff” of the website and immediately sees the products

PosterFi

I wanted to make a prototype for creating web based design application. This is my proof of concept that web technologies can be used to crate design tools.
This web bases tool has a lot of advantages:

  • They are accessible to anyone on any device
  • They restrict the user to stay in a predefined visual system
  • More or less “beautiful” output is ensured
  • Can be used for social-media-campaigns
  • “User-generated content” for brand-communication
  • They can be deployed as real desktop- and/or mobile-apps
  • High-resolution output
